What you can do with iDEAL

iDEAL payments in Propty add a direct payment link to every rental invoice. Tenants tap the link, choose their bank, and pay in 5 seconds. The payment appears in real-time on your dashboard.

Preparation

Have the following ready:

Step plan

1. Go to Settings → Integrations

In Propty, open the settings menu and click "Integrations". Find "Mollie" and click Connect.

2. Authorise Mollie

You will be redirected to Mollie. Log in or create an account. Propty receives access to your Mollie account via OAuth 2.0 without us seeing your credentials.

3. Activate iDEAL

Within Mollie, choose which payment methods you want to offer. Activate at least iDEAL. You can add SEPA, credit card and Bancontact later.

4. Test a payment

Send yourself a test invoice of €0.01 and pay it via iDEAL. Verify the status in Propty changes to Paid within seconds.

5. Roll out to your tenants

From now on, every rental invoice automatically includes an iDEAL link. You don't have to do anything extra.

Costs

Mollie charges roughly €0.29 per iDEAL transaction. There are no monthly fees and no setup fees.

For most landlords this pays back through:

Frequently asked questions

Can a tenant also pay via SEPA?

Yes, alongside iDEAL. They get two payment options in the same email.

What if a tenant does not pay?

Propty automatically sends a friendly reminder after 3 days and a second reminder after 7 days. After that you can send a personal demand letter.

Do I receive the amount directly on my account?

Mollie pays out the balance daily or weekly to your business account, depending on your settings. The default is daily.

Does this also work for service charges?

Yes, every invoice you send via Propty (rent, service charges, final settlement) automatically includes an iDEAL link.
